Three hour commute home and no dance class for me :-(  Kinda cool watching all the smoke pour out of the tunnels at Park Street, though.  It was total chaos above ground after the station was evacuated. I eventually found a T person who said that the Green Line was in fact running out of Boylston, so I hoofed it over there and took the Green Line to the Dudley bus to the 77 bus.  I only got moderately drenched in the process and even got a seat on the 77.  I do actually feel like I breathed a lot of smoke, which I suppose I did.  How'd you do, [livejournal.com profile] silas7 ?

God help this city if there's ever a real emergency--two closed subway stations in rush hour pretty much ground Boston to a halt.

I was wondering what the big deal was with all of the pedestrians at the Leverett Circle and Longfellow Bridge. I rode past a fair number of commuters whie the storm was in its second phase and we'd look at each other and exchange mixed glances about which of us was having the more miserable commute.
