I think I am feeling increasingly sold on Vegas--not only is there Star Trek, but you can go see wild horses out in the desert!  Definitely still want to go to New Orleans, but spring might not be the time for it.  And--real live mustangs out in the wild!  Be still, my ten-year-old-girl's beating heart!

Saida - (I think that's her name) - one of the dancers at the Middle East - was telling me that the Star Trek museum is really really really cool.

I have been to New Orleans in March, June, July and May. March was definitely the nicest of those. We were there for St. Patrick's. I hear that Halloween is the best time though. May was rainy and June & July - you can imagine.

i've been to nola in may after jazz fest. was pretty dead. all the college kids were gone, the weather was borderline oppressive. we were there for the first couple days of 90 degree weather.

also was there for st. patrick's day one year. that was pretty rad, although it also coincided with gothcon so there was a lot to do by way of music & gothyness.

talk to sanguineempathy about the horses/horsebackriding in vegas. she went on some sort of desert ride while there a few years ago.

Vegas is fun! But when I saw the wild horses, I was in Phoenix at the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass; I didn't know there were mustangs near Vegas too ...

Supposedly the Red Rocks park has mustangs and burros, it's a short drive away.

Nola's getting too hot already

I was in nola for the first Convergence they had there over Easter..it was humid already. LV = good. I actual took a desert horseback ride there - my horse was a saved Mustang. Enjoy. Pictures = good too :)
