i've been to nola in may after jazz fest. was pretty dead. all the college kids were gone, the weather was borderline oppressive. we were there for the first couple days of 90 degree weather.
also was there for st. patrick's day one year. that was pretty rad, although it also coincided with gothcon so there was a lot to do by way of music & gothyness.
talk to sanguineempathy about the horses/horsebackriding in vegas. she went on some sort of desert ride while there a few years ago.
