Today Seti was back at Angell Memorial for a perfectly ordinary run-of-the-mill rabies shot.  As we sat and waited for the vet, a woman in the waiting room asked us, "Is that a ferret?"

Me and Mathew:  "Yep!"  I don't mind playing ferret ambassador when I am there with a healthy ferret.

Woman:  "Do they have legs?"

Me and Mathew: *blink*

All I could do was hold Seti up to show her that yes indeed, he does have legs, because I wasn't at all sure what would come out of my mouth if I tried to speak.  "No, they wiggle along the ground like snakes."  "No, they hover an inch or two above the ground, it's really quite interesting as they are the only mammal that does that."

I know they're kind of long and snakey, but still...
