wierdest ferret comment I have ever heard
Aug. 21st, 2004 01:35 pmToday Seti was back at Angell Memorial for a perfectly ordinary run-of-the-mill rabies shot. As we sat and waited for the vet, a woman in the waiting room asked us, "Is that a ferret?"
Me and Mathew: "Yep!" I don't mind playing ferret ambassador when I am there with a healthy ferret.
Woman: "Do they have legs?"
Me and Mathew: *blink*
All I could do was hold Seti up to show her that yes indeed, he does have legs, because I wasn't at all sure what would come out of my mouth if I tried to speak. "No, they wiggle along the ground like snakes." "No, they hover an inch or two above the ground, it's really quite interesting as they are the only mammal that does that."
I know they're kind of long and snakey, but still...

it would be the worst nightmare of somebody trying to ferret-proof their home! Though that could explain how Seti got behind the headboard last week :-/
