This is the story of a Turkish gypsy who follows her dreams all the way to the glamourous stages of post World War 2 Cairo, losing and finding love along the way. Featuring the fabulous dancing and choreographies of Johara and over 30 Middle-Eastern style belly dancers with  both cabaret and folkloric-inspired dance. Glamourous costumes, dramatic sets and a spectacular finale! Don't miss this unique opportunity that brings Middle-Eastern dance under the brilliant lights of the theater!

Location: Regent Theatre, 7 Medford St (Arlington Center), Arlington, MA

Cost: $25 general admission; $30 special front row seating (first 3 rows); $20 for kids 17 and under (box office charges will be added). Ask about group rates.

Sadly, it doesn't look like we'll be able to make it tomorrow, but Curse and I are going to the Sharq Ensemble concert at Club Passim Monday ~ It would be great if you and M could make it!

I just wanted to let you know that Curse is taking a class with Karim at the NEC St. Botolph building Room 301 on May 5th at 7:45 PM (Curse will be there from 5-9:15) all about percussion rhythms used to accompany dancers. I brought up to him how it might be fun for you to sit in on the class. He asked Karim last night, and you are welcome to go if you like (or if your schedule permits)! I hope this is a possibility for you ~ should be fun. :)

I just remembered I never responded to this--I'll see if I can go! We have a few Sarab performances coming up and thus lots of rehearsals, so I'm not sure at this point what my May schedule is really like :-/
