alonewiththemoon | SYTYCD--I am lame

I watched SYTYCD late last night and struggled unsuccessfully to stay awake through all of it, so I pretty much got nuthin' today. Except that I thought the women's Bollywood number was genuinely very good and I loved Kupono's solo. Evan stepped it up a bit for his partner dance and his solo was a joy to watch but I do think it's his time. Definitely time for Randi to go. I liked Jason's solo last night a lot better than I've like his dancing recently, much more personality and individuality. Nice to see Travis Wall back, and great choreography. And hey, second real kiss of the season! Words cannot express how much I hated the song Kayla danced to for her solo, but her dancing was very strong. Ade was a powerhouse--I wonder if he's been holding back the first half of the season to make sure he's got the stamina and energy to make it all the way to the end. Melissa and Brandon looked ready to be cast for Hair. I liked the way the choreography used some of her ballet movement vocabulary. It was cool to see African dance on the show. Ade looked like he might have done it before. Then again, he looked that way with disco too, so maybe he's just a good physical mimic. I loved that Kupono couldn't stand still when they were done, it looked like he wanted to keep on going.

I'm probably going to be a slacker next week too, due to the BBC America Torchwood extravaganza. However you can watch full episodes online now, so you never know, maybe I'll have the time to watch.
