more superstar dance stuff

I was curious about the South African woman who performed last night--her name is Mamela Nyamza, and I think the piece she did on the show is an excerpt from a longer show she starred in.  I also learned she has an Alvin Ailey background, which makes total sense.  She tours internationally, so I will totally keep an eye out for her shows.  She really resonated strongly with me, I think because she wasn't afraid to do something that wasn't pretty or delicate, and because she had, as Tim Gunn would say, a point of view.  She's the only dancer I've seen on the show to whom I've responded "I want more!"



 
(not from last night's piece, but doesn't it make her all the more fascinating?)
