I'm getting really excited for the Arisia show on the 20th.  I had a chance to run through my music on Sunday and the ideas I had in mind totally work.  I still haven't finished my arrow, but my Colonial off-duty shirt is about done.  I wasn't sure about how well it turned out, but when I put it on with the dog tags and with my hair pulled back, it was immediately recognizable for what it was.  The devil is in the details!

This is my performance description.  I am a big geek.

"Life Here Began Out There" by Badriya.  The fleet wanders in the wilderness, but hope remains thanks to the gift of Apollo, Lord of Kobol.  Our leader will not live to enter the new homeland, but we fight on without fear knowing that we are on the path to Earth.  All of this has happened before, and all of it will happen again.

What time is the show on Saturday at Arisia? I'm hoping I won't be at a panel, but I'm assuming I will be (I'm at them from 11-5 that day).

If you are getting weekend passes, you should come to our Friday night Star Wars ball to see Jabba and all of our performances - there will be silly geeky dancing. :)

It's Sunday, actually, from 3-4. hope you can make it! I just have a day pass for Sunday but I hope there will be photos from Friday :-)

I'll be in a panel (actually the big one - where we're pulling all of the raffle prizes) so I won't be able to make it. Here's hoping someone tapes it!

I'll see if someone can do that, but it probably won't be terribly professional. I wonder if I can just ask on an Arisia forum to find a videographer. It's not like you have to twist arms to get people to film pretty women belly dancing, I would just be better with someone whose name I know, who isn't going to take images or video without permission.

I have a video camera now and was going to ask Mathew to record me--we can't promise any level of professionalism whatsoever, especially since we're still figuring out how it works, but I'm willing to record other dancers if desired.
