I know you took the weekend off, but seriously, it's time to get back to work now.  Don't try to tell me you don't know how to do this stuff, because I know you do, and I also know for a fact that you have one right foot and one left foot, not two left feet.  So please wake up and shape up.

Dear brain,

Regarding your last communication, I would be able to do my job much better if you would just chill out and stop overthinking everything.  Trust me to know what I'm doing, and we'll do okay.  I know I'm a little sluggish but really you're just interfering at this point and it's not helping.

Heh, well said. Quite analogous to the conversation going on in my own mind/matter bits. Having today off from the day job did not actually help. Motivation is elusive. Argh!
