- Sayed Balaha's The Devil and the Dancer is pretty superb.
- His Tahiya Carioca drum solo makes me all the more desirous of learning some basic samba, real carnivale in the streets samba, to add to my drum solos. My Brazilian belly dance teacher says she is terrible at it. There is a samba class right after belly dance class on Tuesday nights but I think that would kill me.
- Picking up a copy of the documentary that Desiree made about Boston belly dance tonight, I'm looking forward to seeing it!
- M is going to see Heart tomorrow night. I am not. Not sure what my plans are, I'm feeling freaked out by my lack of a Raks Spooki flyer, need to sew, need to practice, etc. but it would be good to be social.
- Was reminded last night of the Edward Gorey/Animal Rescue League Victorian Ball on Oct. 20. Would really like to find the time for that, but what to wear?
- More delicious drinks at Green Street Grill last night. I sincerely wish it were in walking distance from my house, only then I'd be more of a lush than I already am.
- There is a ghost town in Massachusetts called Dogtown. In the Depression, somebody (the founder of Babson College) employed people by having them carve inspirational sayings into the boulders around the town. The town was already abandoned at the time, so it seems like a rather odd thing to have done. I very much want to go there.
- Somebody on the Arlington Birds list took a photo of what appears to be an albino mink swimming in I think it was Belmont. Mink look even more like ferrets when they are white. I would be shocked if it were a feral ferret though; they are lousy survivalists and swim at best with reluctance. Maybe it's descended from escaped fur farm stock.
- I wish it were Friday.
