alonewiththemoonI've been watching the series Paranoia Agent: Enter Lil' Slugger over the last couple of weeks. I'm not sure I like where the three episodes of the second disc are going, but the first four episodes are just brilliant, exactly the kind of thing that Satoshi Kon does so well, so I will certainly forge ahead with the rest of the series. I think I've missed Paprika in the theatres at this point but hopefully it will be out on DVD sooner or later.
Trying to decide whether to call the Dance Complex or bug the guy who manages BU's rehearsal spaces to book some time for the next couple of weeks. Pros of the Dance Complex are that it's located along my route home and I find I buckle down and get to work better if I've paid for the space, plus it makes me feel terribly grown up and professional to rent my own studio time. Cons include much bleed-through noise from the other studios, firm hour time limit and cost. Pros of the BU studios are that they are generally--but not always--quieter, free and are available in three hour chunks. Cons are that they are in the opposite direction of home, bleed-through noise if there are other groups using the spaces, potential of running into persons I know with whom I do not care to discuss my dancing, and I don't want to feel obliged to dance for three hours. And I do feel like I'm bugging the guy who manages the schedule. Guess I'll see what the Dance Complex has available and go from there...
No word from Safti Craft about the galabeya I want--I've sent another email, so we'll see. They have about two hours to live up to their 'we answer every inquiry within 48 hours' promise.
It was nice that when I got up this morning, it was cool enough for Seti to come out of the bedroom and run around. We played for a while, fun fun. There's few things to brighten one's morning as well as a happy bouncy weasel. He goes in for his distemper shot tomorrow. That's the one that ferrets are more likely to react to; so far, he's come through with flying colors but I still worry about it. I'll be taking the day off to watch him at home afterwards, as one is supposed to do, so hopefully constant vigilance means nothing will happen.
