Darn it--I had finally decided to order an in-stock costume from Dahlal that I'd been thinking about, and of course it's gone.  meh.  That will teach me to think before I commit hundreds of dollars on a whim!  So-o-o-o tempted by this Eman Zaki, but I'd definitely be rocking the Dina look in the one they have in stock and after my last experience I am not big on the idea of custom ordering from Eman Zaki again.  Still, though, it's gorgeous and if you ask me it's got me written all over it.

Why do I get costume fever the worst when I have no money at all?

Seriously, it is you. Custom costume ordering is scary. I think before my next foray, I'll have someone measure me, not just do it myself.

Eman Zaki really did screw up my sophisticated assuit, it wasn't my measurements--I measured the dress when it arrived and the neckline had little to do with my measurements. If somebody in the shop had ever put the dress and bra next to each other, they'd've seen it wasn't right.

That said though, this starry night costume is haunting me...

wasn't implying that you didn't measure yourself correctly, was alluding to my own custom order debacle, sorry for any misunderstanding.

That have been said, could Shadia fix it for you?

Dahlal fixed it for me--they're able to do small jobs like enlarging a neckline in house. The only hold up with the costume at this point is that the side slits go nearly to my hips and so I need something black to wear underneath it :-)
