Xmortis this Friday

Did I mention here that Nepenthe and I are performing at Xmortis this Friday?  Well, we are, for the annual return of Arabian Midnights.  I believe Nepenthe will be on at 11 and I will be on at midnight, but I'm not 100 percent sure about that.  Standard goth time plus standard belly dance time equals a tear in the time space continuum, I think.

I am awaiting final confirmation, but if all goes well I am very excited to announce that Curse (of Kambriel Designs) will be joining me on stage with his doumbek.  He is the doumbek player in the recorded music I'll be dancing to!

Yep, I know Curse is planning on it :) Should the two of you get together sometime before then for a practice?

I'm *incredibly* sad that I shouldn't be coming. I am supposed to stay away from loud noises until my ears have a chance to heal, and I know this would be pushing it... At the very least, do you think someone could make a video of the performance?

Oh, yay! I have a message in to him but haven't heard back yet (just sent it this morning, though). As I said to him, since we both know the music so well we can probably wing it, but I'm taking Friday off so perhaps we could get together in the afternoon.

I was thinking about you and your ears :-( I will miss you lots if you can't make it but it's not worth losing your hearing over... What about big noise-blocking headphones, you could hide them under a big floppy hat? ;-) I definitely want to find somebody to do video, no matter what!

Ginger tea! My insides are forever in jeopardy, and ginger is a good friend. I'll boil strips of ginger for 5 min. as a tea from scratch, if I have time, and it works great for digestive ills.

I don't, but I'm going to find out and see if they'd be willing to CafePress it or something--I know I'd definitely buy something with that design on it!

Thank you for asking--too many people don't. An artist friend just dealt with that on CafePress.

And if you do find out--add me to the list of dancers who'd want one! I know CafePress has a thing about only printing dark ink on light fabric, but if you found a company that would print on black fabric...with a bit of lighter color around the dancer's figure, it'd make a great GBD shirt.
