excitement!

alonewiththemoonI just sent in payment for my copper coin costume!!! I am so, so excited. The vendor is Magpie's Hoard, and she makes all the costumes herself, so this is all custom ordered just for me (people who have been gaming with me for the last few years may also appreciate the vendor's name as being very simpatico). Copper coins are very hard to find, and I've been obsessing over this for a while. I think that copper will go really well with my hair and coloring, and it's unique amidst the seas of gold and silver. I'm planning on also ordering a leopard velvet skirt, leopard gauntlets/headband and a black velvet u-top from L. Rose Designs to complete the costume, at least this incarnation of it. Kind of a retro-glamour-tribal look :-) My darling husband has offered to pay for the coin costume for my birthday so I can get this vision underway. Everybody wins!
I'm still all fired up from the weekend's workshop. I don't want to be sitting at work, I want to be dancing and using all this new stuff I learned! Although I can safely say that just about every muscle in my body hurts right now. I was so worried about my leg that it never even occured to me that the rest of me was getting a pretty good workout as well. Also when I left the house this morning I wasn't sure if I was going to throw up from the heat or not, so I'd say I'm not really recovered from the weekend yet. And I can't breathe in all this humidity. But you know what? If I could leave work right now, I'd still go dancing!
