Pogues tickets on sale Fri.

The Pogues will be playing Avalon on March 9 and 10 and the Orpheum March 11--tickets go on sale at 10am the morning of Friday, Jan. 26.  Tickets are crazy stupid expensive ($53 plus fees for Avalon!) but I think I'm going to go for it, having never seen them with Shane...

I was going to do whichever night I could get tickets for, preferably Avalon--if I can get tickets for the 10th or 11th, want me to order you one? (Even though Avalon is more expensive, I think it will be wild and crazy in a way that the Orpheum won't be :)

I can totally relate to your trepidation about the cost.

But GO. I saw the SF show a few months back and subsequently regretted not spending the $60 a night to go to all three or four gigs they did in town. They were already sold out or I would have been there.

They were great; just as good (if not better--ack, blasphemy!) as when I saw them with Shane as a freaking kid (me, not him...well, maybe him too!)
the first time 'round.

I'm all giddy just thinking about it. Go! :)

My first tendency was Orpheum, sheltered w/ seats but then I thought - why play it safe - and braved potential crazyness. Got 2 tix for Avalon for Sat. oooooo look at my living on the edge ;P
