Man I am jonesing for new costuming so badly.  I know I have Dahlal looking for something for me and I do have my assuit dress on its way some day, but it took all my will power not to buy a black and purple assymetrical Egyptian costume on ebay this afternoon, and if I'd seen this before it sold it would have been mine.  If the ebay dress hadn't been a halter I'd probably have bought it.  Still kind of tempted by one of Bellydance with K's saidi dresses.  Must be patient...  also, must check K's website more often...

Yep, I was debating right down to the very last 30 seconds or so. The deciding factor was that the cups were a little too small, and with a halter, that would mean side ooze, and that's just not a good thing. I don't mind if my cups runneth over in front, but I don't want them runnething out the sides ;-)

Though if she relists it for cheaper, I might give it a shot...

it is pretty, but I thought the purple was a bit too pastel-y for me. Besides, I've already overspent on costumes on this month, must - be - good -. :-( although that 25% gift cert from dahlal is calling me...

I can wear that shade of purple/lavender if I've had enough sleep the night before--if I'm at all tired looking, it makes it worse. So there's another good reason not to have bought it...

Lilya just told me tonight that Dahlal is having a sale - $600 for a custom-made Pharaonics. I did not need that encouragement.

On the other hand, I counted out and starting in February, I performed over 15 times last year and maybe it wouldn't be so bad to have a new costume.

I think I'm selling one too on Bhuz. I'm surprised anyone wants it but she does!

yep, it's started. You're lost now N. It all makes sense, sell a costume, buy a costume, next thing you know, you have no clothes left, have nothing to eat and will dance for costumes!

Right now I really ought to prioritize vet bills, unfortunately :-/ But the sparklies are so pretty!

Jes' post on bhuz about what a costume ends up costing in the long run was pretty thought-provoking. It won't stop me from spending money, but it will keep me careful about how I spend it! The thing is, I'm at a point where if I want to take the next steps into the dance world and get the kinds of gigs that will pay for costumes, I really need more costuming to get there. And did I mention that the sparklies are so pretty? :-p
