A fact learned: if you put a paypal button on a public website, you get significantly more spam, particularly paypal-related spam, than you did previously.
The Arlington Center, where I go for yoga, has a free restorative yoga class this Sunday as part of a teacher training weekend. That sounds like exactly the ticket for me! Dance class last night was very frustrating. My knee was aching; I think if we had been on a wood floor I would have been ok, but the classroom is carpeted so I was constantly torquing my knee through drag. Plus I blistered the outside edges of my big toes, although I can actually draw some comfort from that because it means that my patterns of weight-bearing are truly shifting. I don't think that part of my foot ever really used to touch the floor before. I'm still going to Najmat's class tonight--it's a better floor, plus it's more my regular movement vocabulary. I'm honestly not sure if I can keep taking Amira Jamal's class if it stays in that room. Next week I'll try ballet slippers and see if that helps any...
That Heroes show is really growing on me. Each time I've watched it, I start out thinking "I don't know, this is awfully network..." but then by the end I'm hanging on the edge of my seat. I really like Hiro's character, especially after something learned at the very end of last night's episode.
