I might as well post it here too...
Aug. 28th, 2006 01:36 pmJust in case any of you missed seeing this on the gazillion LJ communtities I am spa--I mean, posting to:
I am very proud to announce an afternoon of gothic belly dance workshops with Tempest and Ariellah on Sunday, October 8 at the Regent Underground Theatre in Arlington. Tempest and Ariellah are both featured on the recent Gothic Bellydance: The Darker Side of Fusion DVD, and will be presenting their unique visions of how to create a gothic performance. For more information and registration, please visit the Raks Spooki website.
And on the evening of October 8, I am equally proud to present Raks Spooki: A Gothic Belly Dance Event. Just in time for Halloween, dancers from across New England, the home of H.P. Lovecraft, Edward Gorey and Stephen King, will present their darker sides in a gothic gala at the Regent Theatre in Arlington. From the spiritual to the silly, the dancers will show the multi-faceted sides of the growing genre of gothic belly dance. Tickets will be $16.50 and will be available through the Regent Theatre website, by phone or at the Regent Theatre box office--ticket sales have not yet been set up, but please check the Regent Theatre website for updates, and I will also be sending out a notice when tickets are available.
Also, vendors with stuff related to gothic belly dance should contact me if interested in vending, as I may have tables available. There will probably be a fee for vending, I'm still working that out with the theatre.
Shimmy spookily,
Badriya
