i'm on crack

I thought for sure I was dancing at the Middle East this Sunday, and contacted Sahar to doublecheck on the time--I'm not dancing until May 21.  I really, really need to learn to write these things down...  At least I would have shown up when I wasn't on the schedule, instead of not showing up when I am on the schedule.

Well, now I have time to work on a couple of DVDs and do some technique drilling tonight instead of desperately trying to prepare for a show three days away, and I'll have lots of time to get that music all ready to go.  Oh, and I guess do some prep for tomorrow night's show with Najmat's class, but that's pretty low pressure.

The whole weekend is relatively low pressure, I think the only thing I'm worried about now is finding mint for my mint juleps on Saturday.  It's a field with some pretty good horses, and it's usually heartbreak to root for the favorite, but I was really taken by Brother Derek in the Santa Anita.  But the competition will be strong, and anything can happen in that 20-horse stampede.

Heh, you'd be welcome to the spearmint once again taking over my front lawn, except a)it's a helluva drive for some mint leaves and b)it's really too close to the road to be safe for consumption.

p.s. By tomorrow night's show, you mean the Green St. Studio Community Concert, right? Or am I hopelessly confuzzled?

I have mint in my yard. It's just a matter of trying to figure out a time when we can meet up...hrm. Also should be able to get it at someplace like Whole Foods, Pemberton Farms, and probably even Star Market
