Well, not the first time a rocker has lots of lovers, and so does the lover, and it's easy to pretend it was someone else's... I mean, Liv Tyler didn't know she was Steven's kid until she was 10--her mother always told her her stepdad was her father. They were at an Aerosmith concert, and Liv looked at the lead singer and said, "He's my dad, isn't he?" (at least according to some teen magazine interviewing her) Kind of hard to deny the resemblance. Same with this kid. Though...much like Liv, they turned out a lot more attractive than their dads, despite looking like them.
i'm totally not passing judgement, i'm a huge nick cave fan...i just remember him only having one son (luke) for the longest time and then suddenly "oh and here is jethro too"
Didn't think you were. :) Just thought you were trying to keep things clear--it's hard to keep track of things like that, with celebrities marrying for five minutes and all that.
I kinda get happy when people I think are talented have offspring--I keep hoping it's genetic. But...modeling? Pays well, but it's not nearly the same kind of creative as singing murder ballads.
Well, I think he genuinely didn't know about him for a while, the mother didn't come forward until several years after Jethro was born. And I think he made sure of the paternity before acquiesing that he was indeed his father. But once he did admit his paternity, he paid for Jethro's schooling (presumably still is, if the kid is 15) and that sort of thing. At least that's what the media says...
I can't read the rest of the article because I won't register and pay, unfortunately. So I went and Googled her, out of curiosity. Peaches, apparently, fully supports the Iraq war and President Bush.
Bob Geldof's kid. Supports. Bush. Geldof.
I'm gonna spend the rest of the day trying to wrap my brain around that.
Not that a name like Apple Martin stands out among celebrity children anymore. The director Peter Farrelly plucked that very name for his daughter before Apple Martin came along. Even that name seems drab compared with Hollywood baby names like Pilot Inspektor, cooked up by Jason Lee, the star of "My Name Is Earl," or Banjo, the inspiration of the "Six Feet Under" star Rachel Griffiths, or Moxie CrimeFighter, a name chosen last year by the comedian and magician Penn Jillette for his daughter.
Apple Martin(i)? Pilot Inspektor Banjo!!!
no, really... BANJO?!!!!
(ok, yeah, I think "Moxie CrimeFighter" is kinda cool.... *sigh*.)

I'm sorta stuck on that part. Bob, you were on drugs when you named her, weren't ya? I'm hoping that's a nickname, not a given name.

I guess this is how you rebel when your father is the face of UK liberalism.
