I've been listening to Bread and Jam for Francis a decent amount recently.
Oddly when I first heard it years ago I thought it sounded a bit too stiff and laden with stock synths, but over time I've found it stands up much better than I thought it would, which is a great thing in my mind since so much of what seems great at first tarnishes quickly, while some with longevity is a rarer thing.
They really have held up well over time for the most part--good songwriting makes a big difference. I was listening to some old Apop the other day, stuff from before Welcome to Earth, and I couldn't believe how terribly dated--and not very good--it sounded. Made me sad in a way...
