For any interested parties:
Sat., April 22: The Northeast Belly Dance Association Boston Chapter's First Annual Member Showcase, the Proscenium Theatre @ the Actor's Workshop, 327 Summer Street, 4th Floor (Boston, Fort Point Channel). Boston-area dancers will be performing a variety of styles and pieces, from Egyptian folklore to American Cabaret pizzazz to tribal fusion; I will be doing a sassy Cairo city girl dance called a meleya leff and some cane dancing. Doors open at 5:30 for shopping (vending by Anatolia Imports,
costumes, music, hip scarves, etc) and mingling, show starts at 6:30. Cover charge is I think around $8, it's under $10 anyway.
The Proscenium Theatre is about a 5-10 minute walk from South Station, straight down Summer Street, and there's free street parking in the area.
