dum te-tek te-tek dum dum tek
Dec. 17th, 2007 06:03 pmToday I spent a significant portion of my workday making hats for rats. There will be some explanation of that later in the week.
Last night we decorated our christmas tree (it was supposed to go from LL Bean to Japan, our particular tree, but Thursday's storm meant it was in a parking lot in Arlington on Friday night instead as it couldn't catch its connecting flight in Boston. It had an LL Bean tag and everything. I bought a designer tree. I apologize for the very concept.) and it looks lovely, with robots and horses and tigers and spaceships and Jack Skellington topping it all off. It is unquestionably a tree that belongs to us.
Busy yet not entirely fulfilling weekend. Much to do this week, along with many parties and social gatherings to attend. I am exhausted in advance just thinking about it, though it is all--or mostly--stuff I will enjoy. I just have to make it to Friday, that's all.
I'm supposed to lead a small group of students in AJ's class tonight in a chiftetelli (not a Bricey one!). I think my leadership will consist of "ok, now you improv! next, you over there do some improv, then you on the left there do some improv!" It will be cabaret goes ATS! Honestly though, it's a chiftetelli, choreography seems counter to the point. I do have some thoughts on how to deal with it according to the overall structure of the piece, we'll see how it goes.
Early announcement: this Sunday, Dec. 23, will be my last performance at the Middle East for the foreseeable future, so if you like seeing me there, that will be your last chance for some time. I'm scheduled to go on at 10:15,
nepenthe01 is on after that.
