Barbaro did get laminitis after all :-(  He still seems to be in good spirits, but he's also described as being under "an aggressive pain management regimen."

Bellydancers I "know" through chat boards are fleeing Lebanon, or trying their best to get out of the country, not just foreign dancers who were studying in Lebanon but the Lebanese dancers themselves as well.  People there are pretty sure this is the end of Lebanon's fragile movements towards peace :-(
