Nov. 4th, 2005 11:17 amI've been so wrapped up in the prep work for the contest I haven't had any time or mental energy to be nervous about the contest itself. Today that changed. I hope I don't throw up at any point between now and tomorrow night.
Did more work on my solo piece last night; it's shaping up pretty well. I realized that my facial expression throughout much of the song is about the same as Chairman Kaga's after he bites into that pepper in the opening credits of Iron Chef, although I had in mind images of Sekhmet. I'm fine with that, it works. Chairman Kaga's expression is rather cat-like in his somewhat predatory sybaritic fashion anyway.
I just tried to find an image of the Chairman to link to, but I can only find pictures of right before he bites the pepper, and that's not the same face at all. Though that one would probably work as well. Oh wait, oh my gosh, this sums up the whole thing!
wow, that's hypnotic. Hopefully this will inspire me to reign supreme.
