Seven Sunless Days moves on to the next round of Emergenza!  Next stop, Paradise!  The Paradise Rock Club, anyway.  Thanks to everybody who braved the suburban aggro-rock to support the band, I can tell you it's much appreciated.

In the "wow it's a really small world" department, my cousin's band played right before SSD.  My aunt and uncle were there too, they were part of that gaggle of much older people, and perceptive people might have noted that my uncle shares with me the distinctive Whitney nose.  It was nice to see them, but wow, how completely random.  It saved my ears though--I totally forgot to bring my earplugs, so my aunt gave me some from the bag of earplugs she carries around with her.  Ah, the rock and roll older generation...  The band wasn't exactly my cup of tea but they seemed to be good at what they did, kind of red hot chilli peppers-style.  And they went on to the next round as well, so I may be seeing my family out in the nightclubs again.

I can't believe it's finally Friday.  This day has been more or less flying along; I hope I can maintain momentum until the Sekhmet performance at Xmortis tonight.  I'm doing surprizingly well for someone who was out til all hours at a rock show after her dance class and then finished the day with ice cream for dinner at midnight.  Just couldn't be bothered to deal with real food at that point, and it felt good on my sore throat.  Saturday is action-packed, and then the St. Patrick's Day performance on Sunday.  I had a chance to run though it in my office before dance class last night, and I was pleased with how it's shaping up.

Since it seems like there's a few of you planning to go to the Middle East on Sunday, you might want to talk to each other and maybe reserve a table for yourselves--if you do, please count M in.  I'm scheduled to go on at 10:40, so be there before 10:30 to be safe, and I might go on as late as 11.  Johara is also doing an Irish-themed performance that night, I believe she is the first dancer around 9:30ish.  Anyway feel free to use the comments here to start coordinating with each other, if a reserved table seems like a good idea.  I can't discern any pattern in how crowded any given night is likely to be--sometimes the place is empty, sometimes you have to dance around the people standing in the aisles.

YAY! I'll see you tonight and I totally want to see your ST Patty's day gig. Can I videotape? I'd also be happy to tape tonight (probably too short notice). Feeling geekish and vaguely anti-social at the moment. And I'll make sure to get your whole bodies! ;)

I have no idea who else wants to go, but I will gladly hang out with M and guarantee that I will say something that makes him do that "OMG Lena, you are so f*'n weird" face at me at least once during the evening. That face makes me happy.

I'll certainly be there. Should we plan for dinner, maybe around 9:30? They do serve on that side, don't they?

Going to see the bellydancing @ the Middle East Sunday night? Or am I including you in confusion of the talks of last night mistakenly?

Its hard to keep track of who what when unless I have it written down. :)

Congrats to SSD!!

We think we have a plan for Sunday: wedding 12:30-4:30, visit with my folks 5ish-8ish, all this in the Brockton area, then head up to the ME. So unless we keel over exhausted (which could happen, I'll have worked 4-midnight on Saturday night, and he'll have worked 8pmSat-4amSun), we should be there.
