In case anyone on my friends' list is interested, tickets for the Belly Dance Super Stars show on March 4 at the Regent Theatre in Arlington are now on sale, see the theatre's website for tickets. I think I may have been the first person to buy tickets, as I have Orchestra Center seats 101 and 102 :-)

Usually when I leave the office to get my lunch, I do not bring my music with me because I just want to go and come back quickly and also I'm paranoid about getting hit by a car because I won't be able to hear it screeching across the pavement towards me. But today I am in a bit of a funk, and so I brought my mp3 player with me. I haven't been sleeping well at all for a few days now, I haven't been nourishing myself well at all for about a week, and I just don't feel right. I thought music might jolt me out of myself a bit. Lo and behold, what does random play serve me up but Voltaire's "Worf's Revenge." It's pretty hard to be mopey when you are listening to Voltaire trying to rap like a Klingon.

I really like the random play feature of my mp3 player--it's like a radio station that plays only songs you like. Though the transitions can be a bit odd, given the variety of stuff I've got in there.

Since it's $10 less per ticket when purchasing 12 or more, perhaps we should try to get a group together? Too bad you alread got yours, but then again, sounds like you got some great seats!

oh, excellent! I think people just don't know they are on sale yet--I found out totally randomly. I was visiting the BDSS website to see if any workshops were being scheduled for our area (it looks like there are not), and on a whim clicked on the concert listing to see if tickets were on sale yet. And indeed they were! But Za-beth, who promotes the BDSS, hasn't made any big public announcements or anything yet, so I'm guessing most people aren't aware you can buy them.

We'll be close enough to see every shimmy :)
