Wasn't it supposed to stop raining by now? Looks pretty rainy out there to me. East Arlington was a giant sheet of wet ice this morning, I shuffled across the ice like a penguin.

Why does Newport News tempt me so by sending promotion codes for an additional 20 percent off everything?

M and I picked up a tree last night, happily before the freezing rain hit. Next year we really ought to measure how much space we have before going shopping; this one just barely fits height-wise and dwarfs everything in the room (even the tv!) width-wise. It cost way too much money but it's a beautiful tree and the house smells wonderful. The ferrets really wanted to climb in it, but I didn't want them getting sap on their fur.

Speaking of ferrets, last night when I went to bed, Seti was asleep between the sheet and the comforter on my side of the bed. I managed to gently move him around without waking him too much, and we both fell asleep with me holding him like a little teddy bear. And if that isn't sweet enough to make your teeth rot, I don't know what is.

i think i'm going to have to splurge and get that velvet coat for myself for xmas (if it's not sold out by then). i haven't bought new clothing in months.
