Reminder: Hurricane Hafli, 9/25

The Northeast Belly Dance Association (Boston Chapter) is pleased to announce a benefit hafli (Arabic for party) to raise funds for the American Red Cross Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund. Over 20 of the Boston area's finest dancers will perform in a showcase of the variety of styles of modern belly dance. badriyaz's husband spinning. The hafli will be held on Sunday, September 25 from 3:30pm to 7pm at the Dilboy VFW Post, 371 Summer Street, Somerville (Davis Square). Suggested minimum donation is $15.
As you may note, we had a slight DJ crisis resulting in no more Garabed but all's well that hopefully ends well :) We have a lot of really nice stuff for the raffles, from music to dvds to costume items to artwork, etc., etc. And I think the lineup of dancers is a really good one, a lot of variety in styles and music. We've had good publicity in several newspapers (apart from the Herald getting the date wrong, but at least they are running a correction today :-/ )And it goes without saying but I say it anyway, thanks a million, million, million to everybody who has helped in their own various ways to make this event happen!
