Same here. I had work-anxiety dreams last night - somehow the bugs in my program manifested as person sized purple wasps that hung out on the ceiling of my cube.

I just had aweful indistinct dreams.
I was up at 6 and couldn't fall asleep again.

Gah, human sized wasps.

Mathew and I couldn't sleep either. There were no human-sized wasps in my dreams, thankfully, but when I did sleep it was edgy and my dreams felt precarious. I thought maybe it was the paint fumes in the apartment, but it sounds more like a general malaise...

Oh, I emailed karim about the dumbek...
figured I might want to set my sights on something slightly easier to play first.

I actually did not leave my house at all after I got home on Saturday night until I left for work this morning. That might not have been a good idea, in retrospect.

Yay about getting in touch with Karim! Did you know Curse (of Curse and Kambriel) has been taking classes with him? Also Karim is doing a Turbo Tabla show at Passim on Monday the 19th, I'll definitely be going to that if you are interested in checking it out.

I actually don't know Curse of Kambriel, heard of them, probably met them, but no idea who they actualy are :)

You can find his contact info at TurboTabla. The show he'll be doing at Passim is (kind of ironically, for the venue) his more pumped up techno stuff, with a couple of bellydancers performing. There's info at his site, plus I'll post a note about it closer to the date.
