Apr. 11th, 2005 04:16 pmI kind of wish the airplanes would do another flyover of the red sox game, because the last time they did it it startled the heck out of me and kept me feeling wide awake for a good half hour or so. Now I am struggling to stay awake. Good rehearsal last night--along with bonding with other dancers--but I didn't get home until after midnight, and I still needed to eat dinner and unwind a little at that point so I've only got a little over five hours of sleep in me. Still, it's worth it. It's exciting to be part of this big show, and people liked our number at the rehearsal. The costumes came together pretty well, all things considered. I made big poufy headbands like the Ghawazee wear, we look like Jillina with her big crowns ;-)
Two hour dance class tonight for more of the torture that is karshlima--I mean, more of the excitment that is Turkish 9/8--and then another Gypsy in Cairo rehearsal. Thank god that's nice comfy Egyptian steps, feels like home. Tuesday more dance class, Wednesday full dress and tech rehearsal for Gypsy, Thursday I'm not sure what--and at some point, I need to finish moving the paillettes around on my dress, preferably before Wednesday, finish my headband and do laundry. Sleep is for the weak.
