Mar. 3rd, 2005 11:43 amDoes anybody else use the Deepest Sender tool for Firefox to update their LJ? Since I installed the newest upgrades to Firefox yesterday, none of the little buttons in Deepest Sender are working. Most frustrating. I can still update my journal using it, but I can't insert links or any lj tags or do any kind of formatting.
I just scored a pair of these Dansko boots on eBay for half retail price. Supposedly they were store samples and are in perfect shape. I've never bought shoes on eBay--or online at all-- before so this feels risky, but hopefully they will fit fine. They're the same size as my other two pairs of Danskos. European sizes seem to fit my feet better, I've noticed. I guess that's because I've got European-derived feet.
Tonight when I get home I have to make 8 hip belts for troupe Sarab. It should be pretty simple--the belts are just 6 inch wide silver sequin trim, the stretchy kind, and six inch long black fringe. So all I need to do is sew the belts shut, then tack on the fringe. I think I may cheat and use a stapler to attach the fringe--as long as I use pliers to press down the ends, it will be at least as reliable as my sewing, and it won't show under the silver sequins. A six inch wide band of silver sequins is pretty darn shiny, I have learned. I wrapped some around me last night and all I could think of was Bender saying "Bite my shiny metal ass." We will indeed have shiny metal asses in these belts. I might experiment with cinching the sequin stuff on one side just to break up the solid band.
Tomorrow I go to Liquid and get my hair all orange-ified. Yay! Then I might stop by the MAC counter at Filene's to check out the Madame B collection. I will be ever so girly in my own special way. Sewing, beauty salon, dancing--when did this happen to me?
