I rather like the midnight blue that it's shown in--I could definitely see it in black iris though... heck, as long as I'm fantasizing, I'll get one of each! ;-)

I like that open work on the hip too--I don't always like that kind of style, but this one is so heavily beaded that it's more of a change in texture than a missing chunk of fabric, as some of that style can look to me. Like the costume had a run-in with an apple-corer.

That part reminds me of a wrought iron Moroccan window gate... like something you'd peer through in an old wooden door.
