I talked to a couple of people this weekend about ear plugs and said I would post about mine here, so here I am posting.  I got mine from H.E.A.R. -- Hearing Education and Awareness for Rockets.  Because of frames, I can't link directly (or rather, usefully) to the earplugs I bought, but they can be found under Shop H.E.A.R.--Hearing Protection, and they are the ER-20 hifi plugs, $12.00 per pair.  They are infinitely better than foam plugs--not only do they bring down noise volume better, but you can actually hold a conversation while wearing them.  They're the best style of ear plugs short of the very expensive custom-fit ones.  Plus, if you buy them from HEAR, some percentage goes towards tinnitus research and education, and you get a letter from Pat Benatar with your ear plugs congratulating you on taking care of your hearing.

Those sound like the ones I got for Christmas from my sister (who is also in a bunch of local rock bands.) I tried them out for the first time this weekend and they're amazing! The sound was so clear I had to double check to make sure they were actually damping it...and I love that conversation can take place while wearing them! When I need a replacement pair, I'll definitely get them from H.E.A.R.
Because...
Tinnitus sucks and I'd love to help stamp it out forever!
