Finally life slows down just a little bit.  I am on vacation, the neighbor children aren't stomping around too badly (though in payback for earlier this morning, I *am* practicing zills for a good long while this afternoon), I'm on my second cup of tea and I have all kinds of productive things planned to do this week.  If I get a couple of them done, I'll be happy.

Santa was good to me this year:  some MAC, books I wanted, more crow plates, a great shawl thing from my mom, the Belly Dance Reloaded dvd from IAMED, many other fairly useful or delightful objects, and fat amounts of cash.  Tomorrow I'm going to Teddy Shoes to pick out a pair of silver ballroom heels (or more likely, pick out a style I like and then order them in silver with the heel size I want).  Then I'm going to Liquid--it will be such a girly day.  I should work in a trip to the MAC counter somewhere along the way.

Pan was eating well for Christmas, which was the best gift of all.  He was off his food again earlier in the week, but was eager to eat again Friday morning and we saw him eating kibble on his own on Saturday.  He seems to cycle, but it also seems like the cycles are getting shorter.  He's still getting some enjoyment out of life, I can see his personality still strong in him, so we just wait and support him.  Yesterday he sought me out to hang out with me, which was very nice.

Ok.  Time to dance and then clean my desk.  Later M and i will go see the Lemony Snicket movie and go to Finale, as today marks the seventh anniversary of our first date.  We watched Deep Space Nine, went to a Korean/Japanese place in Brighton Center, narrowly avoided tripping over a skunk on my front porch, and kissed each other goodnight with a hopeful confidence that we were each moving beyond our pasts.  And so we did, and here we are.
