Dec. 16th, 2004 01:27 pmI wore a suit today because BU has its big, university-wide holiday party this afternoon and I want to be sure to be presentable so that if our budget gets yanked, people remember me as that professional looking person from the party when I beg them to give me a job. I don't know how likely any budgetary yanking is, but these days you can never be too paranoid. Every time I catch sight of myself in a mirror, I think that with the suit and my red hair I *really* ought to be carrying a big flashlight and doing something much more interesting for a living.
Instead, I am falling asleep at my desk as the sun slowly cooks my brain. I think I've already checked out for intersession, which is not so good considering there's another six working days to go (but who's counting).
Suddenly, work got busy, so you are all spared my aimless meanderings.

I do that all the time. If the Skin Factory II tanks, I'll be that guy who wore cap-toes and dry-clean-only-looking pants -- whatever he did, he must have been good.
If you need something to do after the party...
