Though I have decidedly mixed feelings about the "ooh look at all the robots we are building" ending. I liked the Imaginary Caprica and Imaginary Baltar and their conversation, but the robots came across as rather clumsy after such a generally nuanced show.
Speaking as a married person I have really enjoyed the romantic way in which marriage is viewed on the show. I would have been devastated if Helo hadn't lived. I am absolutely believing that Sam and Kara are together on the other side. And when Bill Adama put his wedding ring on no-longer-living Laura Roslyn's finger--well, I lost it.
I'll be interested to see people's reactions to the rather religious ending.
I think it was just about as good an ending as I could have asked for. The final scene with Caprica and Baltar felt like something tacked on as an afterthought though... I think I'd have preferred to have just left it with them in the fields, not knowing where it all went in the future.

As for the ending, well, see my recent post on such...but beyond that: 1) I hated the "technology sucks, let's get rid of it all!" and then the "omg we're making robots now!!!" aspects of the ending. It just totally demonized science and rational thought....fooooooooor: 2) I hated the religious overtones. I hated that in the end it was just like "ummmmmmmmmmm...believe in god!". Really? After several seasons and over a a hundred hours, that's what you've got?...boo. :(
