I do not like the redesign of Gilded Serpent's front page *at all*.  First of all, it's tacky to let the viewers clearly see that the ads take up an equal amount of real estate to the content.  Secondly, I do not like the keyword method of describing what's in each article.  It's boring and doesn't inspire me to click on any of them.  Finally, I really miss having the posting date next to the article title, because that's how I kept track of whether I had read something or not.  This will be especially annoying now that the articles and reviews are listed in separate areas.

I appreciate a desire to update the look and make it sleeker, but this is not good.

Just took a peek and, yeah, that's bad! All those small adverts on the side remind me of the "escort" and massage advert pages in the back of the Village Voice ;-P. Same design with all the small squares and women's pictures - probably not the image they were going for but that's the first thing that popped into my head when I saw it!

Looks like it was reworked by someone with good technical skills but no sense of media/news reporting..
