• my office has been cold enough today that I am wearing fingerless gloves.  Heaven help me the rest of the week.
• last night I finally watched my Dina in Montreal show DVD.  melty incomprehensible gooey fan noises...  love love love, that's all there is to it.  I cried a little, I am not ashamed to admit.
• I'm currently reading the novel that the movie Let the Right One In was based upon.  So far, the movie has been very true to the novel, which is great because it gives me perfect visuals.  The characters are more detailed in the book, of course.  Oscar is more troubled.  Eli's manservant is seriously more troubled.  The local drunks are more pathetic.  The bullies are worse.  Anyway, it's a very good read.
• now I am off to my chiropractor, who just moved her office somewhat inconveniently to Brookline Village.  But thanks to the magic of Googlemaps street view, I know exactly where I am going and what it will look like.  THanks, Google!

I am typing in fingerless gloves too. My office has the effing AC on. It's 17 degrees out. I need to send a memo letting everyone know it is winter...and not summer! :)

No, I think you're right--watching Dina and remembering how it felt to be there in that room with her is powerful, especially since I was sitting right next to the camera so it really was the same as what I saw.

It was sad to see Ahmed and Dee Dee together :(

Oh, forgot to mention--the DVD also has the live band's show, so if you want to hear them again, you can! The camera is just pointed at the stage, at least for as much as I saw, so it's not visually exciting but it's great to hear them again. I might get ambitious and try some kind of audio rip...

You know what I can't figure out? If your DVD is just her show & the band, how the heck is the other DVD only 2 hours and has all 4 hours of the Friday night show?

I don't know... maybe not all the dancers consented to be on the DVD? There were a few breaks, too. I wondered about that too. I was a little tempted to get the Friday night show for Carol LaBrie and Zahra from NY's performances, but there was an awful lot that night that I don't need to see again.
