More traditional belly dancing will follow, with live music by Samarra's Dream, led by Barry Marshall

Sweet! And I love that piece. :)

Tonya & I were just in AllAsia last Fri for a comedy show, and were discussing it as a possible future gig venue (Oddville etc.).

The set up definitely poses challenges for performance pieces, but it's a plus that it's a bar ;-)

Challenges yes (we'd need better curtains up, have to figure out music), but compared to some venues, it is probably pretty doable and less costly.

And The Paradise Lounge has been bought and turned into an Irish pub bar! No more live shows, stage, and there are giant sports tvs up. Even the waitress was complaining about it. Tonya & I were very sad about that one, since it was such a great venue.

I think there must be some sort of music system in place already--I've been to/in a couple of shows there, and I think there's a house PA. I can check in a couple of weeks :)
