Oct. 22nd, 2004 09:46 pmAt 58 degrees inside the house, I have given up and turned on the heat. I feel a certain lack of fortitude on my part; I try to justify my actions by the knowledge that we have guests coming over and we shouldn't freeze them. Yes, that's it; I turn on the heat for them, not for me. I never would have done it if we weren't having guests.
Sigh. Stupid oil.

Date: 2004-10-27 05:40 pm (UTC)So we bought an electric heater for our living room. It blew the fuse after ten minutes. The fuse box is located in...the basement. Had to go get the landlord so we could have lights and no heat.
So we turned on the heat ANYHOW, and it heated every room except for the living room. The dining room was actually unbearably hot, no heat in living room.
I feel like it should be some kind of analogy, but I've given up looking for any logic or lesson in the situation.
