That was a very restrained performance for him! At FolkTours he did a "modern" tahtib using Japanese kendo sticks. Because the hall had a big high ceiling and a hard floor, he was going for height on these babies. Afterward, we were in the vendor area where some folks had been keeping umbrellas; I think Jaz and I were talking with Sahra Saeeda. Karim was taking someone's umbrella and bouncing it like a tahtib stick. He got one or two bounces out of it and then bent it. "Oops!" he said. Sahra laughed at him.

He led us in debke every night there. I don't know where he gets the energy!
