I bought some tulip and crocus bulbs yesterday, and if that persnickety squirrel that keeps digging holes in the yard doesn't eat them, next spring I will have black Queen of Night tulips, purple tulips and black/purple/white crocuses (croci?). My little gothic garden grows!

Speaking of things snickety, there was an interview with Daniel Handler in today's Globe. It probably does not contain anything fans do not already know, but it is charming nonetheless.
