When you wash the bathmats, the dryer lint filter is full of glitter :-)

Most of the house is clean now.  I washed the bedroom rug, the sheets, the bathroom rugs; swept and mopped all the floors; hu-du-du'd the carpets (that's an Eddie Izzard reference, for those who are saying huh?); cleaned the bathroom literally from ceiling to floor (how the heck does dirt get all over the shower walls?); dusted stuff; and generally cleaned everything except the kitchen, because that is the point at which I ran out of steam.  I'm glad the house is clean though.  I would invite people over more often if I could keep up with it.  Might do another belly dance video thingy on Sept. 15.

Not making it to Ceremony after all; M is not feeling up to it.  But as I am not dancing again on a Sunday (and thus will have more energy on a Monday) until the end of the month, we sincerely hope to attend in the next few weeks.

I'm with ya on the glitter in the dryer lint part. After certain weekends, it was just everywhere.

i thought of you today at the clothing show. there was an antique white middle eastern dancer's cover-up. (not sure the name of it.) they just had it listed as a robe, but it was more than that. long white brocade with frog-like knot closures. really lovely. (probably a couple hundred. that seemed to be the price of the day.)

sounds lovely! I wonder if it was assuit, that's a fabric with metal threads woven into it in geometric designs. It's prized by fabric collectors as well as belly dancers.
