If my tooth didn't hurt I would bite them all

So once again I arose just before the crack of dawn this morning and made my bleary way to the dental health center.  Yes, I have an appointment, and it's today!  Hooray!  I settle down and wait.  And wait.  And wait.  After about an hour of this went by, I went back up to the desk and politely asked how much longer it would be.  A different receptionist looked things up, said "hmm," disappeared in the back for a bit and came back with the news that while my appointment was logged in the overall schedule, yesterday's receptionist hadn't put it on the dentist's schedule, so the dentist had no idea he had an 8:30 appointment this morning, and thus wasn't there.  At least this receptionist apologized profusely and booked me another appointment for 4pm this afternoon.  But this is completely ridiculous, and a Letter of Complaint will most certainly be issued.

It's funny, since the incompetent receptionist and I work for the same institution,  I take particular affront at all this.  I know that she should know that this kind of incompetence is unacceptable here.  And I'm going to make sure her supervisor knows it too.

jesus that is ridiculous. i've had similar things happen with my neurologist's assistantm but i don't have the extra frustration of having to work with them

I'm sorry you've gotten such a run-around, particularly for something that's unpleasant to begin with. I'm glad you're writing a complaint letter.

WOW that is SOOOO irritating! And it isn't even a FUN thing you have to do but a pain in the head thing

I hope it's all filled and feeling better and someone gets you a nice hot bath drawn and lets you relax!!!!
