I still love Sara and Jesus but they're starting to look a little outclassed.  They didn't always look in sync in their krumping number--or if they were choreographed to be out of sync, their movements weren't purposeful enough to convey that they weren't supposed to be together.  Still, tons of character!  I did think while watching the krumping that urban tribal fusion belly dance wouldn't be too out of place on the show.  Maybe someday!

Cedric and Shauna, yeah, Cedric's done I think.  Up to America, I guess, but he really shouldn't stay.  As I remarked last night, the judges' comments and Cedric's response were really admirable.  He handled a tough situation with considerable grace.

Lacey and Cameron's quickstep was pretty impressive.  They weren't quite together on their traveling across the floor steps--he needs to take smaller steps or she needs to speed it up--but still it was very high voltage and I liked it the best of their numbers so far.

Anya and Danny's hip hop was eh.  I think Danny is a good actor as well as a dancer, so he was able to overcome technical shortcomings with some character acting, but Anya looked like she was following the footprints on the floor.

Sabra and Dominic's rhumba was sizzling--I'm really liking Sabra more and more.  Her quiet confidence makes her easy to overlook but she makes everything look so easy.  I don't get the music choice, as with some of the other international dances I wish the choreographer had chosen music appropriate to the dance.  Obviously I myself use non-culturally based music in my culturally-based dance form, but only when there's a connection of some sort there.  I can't really hear the rhumba in the Pussycat Dolls...

Lauren and Neil's tango was boring.  My attention wandered.  I don't think Neil is a very good dancer.

Hok and Jaimie--that was beautiful!  I wanted more!  I think it was Nigel who commented that Wade Robson really drew on each of their strengths in creating the choreography, but it was done so seamlessly that it didn't seem like pandering to the dancer or at all forced, not like Cedric's bad Michael Jackson moments last week.  Loved everything about it, Hok's fluttering hands and bird movements, Jaimie's unfurling into a blossom and the last moment where the hummingbird and the flower come together.  Also loved Hok's giraffe artwork.  He seems all around awesome.  Traditional ballroom partner dancing is definitely a challenge for him, but I think this proved that he certainly can dance with another person in a very connected way.  By far and away my favorite number of the night.

Pasha, well, that was odd.  WTF was up with Debbie Allen's Bette Midler comment?  Mary quickly compensated, but man that was gratuitous.  Anyway, yeah, I guess that was a good cha cha.  There was something kind of smarmy about it to me, but that's probably the way it's supposed to look.  Poor Jessi, I know I've said I don't really care for her dancing but that's not the way you want to see anybody leave the competition, I hope she is ok.

So that's my take--if I got to pick the two to go home, it would be Cedric and probably Shauna but maybe Anya.  Though I kind of like having Anya there because I keep picturing Buffy Anya in the competition, and that would make for a pretty funny show.

Seti was banging on the bedroom door to come out last night, so I let him out into the apartment.  He walked around exactly once and headed straight back into the air conditioned bedroom.  I could very clearly see the "bleh, this is terrible, I've changed my mind!" thought process.  Sensible ferret.  I did yin yoga last night which was actually quite pleasant in the breezes that came up around sunset.  I felt like the prow of a ship in seal pose with the air rushing by me.  Hope tonight is cooler because I need to dance...

Wow, we mostly agree!!!

I'd feel really bad for Shauna if she left, I think she danced her heart out last night and tried so hard to get Cedric into it. I'd like to see Anya gone. I really like Jessi, but if she's having heart problems, then maybe it's best to not be in the competition.
