Mahmoud Fadl asked me to be his friend on MySpace!  And as far as I can tell, it's really him!  I am starstruck!

BPAL of the day is Old Kathmandu:  "The scent of sacred incense swirling up the steep slopes to Swayambhunath Stupa.  Saffron, blessed sandalwood, Himalayan cedar and the miraculous lotus of the Buddha with chiuri bark and Nepalese spices."  I don't know if it's the saffron or the Nepalese spices, but this one really reminds me of food.  Not any food in particular, but it smells like it should be something to eat.  The cedar also makes me think of closets.  So essentially, I find this one intriguing but confusing.  Might make a sachet or something with it.

Yesterday's BPAL was Mata Hari, which I think I might have reviewed here before so I'm not going to copy over the whole description, just the basics:  "Her scent is striking and bold with a delicate yet dark undertone, five roses with soft jasmine, warmed by vanilla, fig, tonka bean and mahogany, spiced with a drop of coffee bean."  I would like this one a lot more with fewer roses, but it did smell good.  My main complaint about it would be that the scent vanished completely a few hours after putting it on, which is a bit odd with these BPAL scents.

I'm intrigued by the description of Mata Hari...except for the coffee bean. And the tonka bean...(which are poisonous..)
