doubtful perfume
Feb. 6th, 2007 12:06 pmThe Henson Company is making a movie of The Doubtful Guest! That could be pretty neat.
BPAL of the day is Brisingamen: "The amber necklace of Freya, Norse Goddess of Love, Sex, Attraction and Fruitfulness. Her magnificent necklace was bought from four Dwarves (Alfrik, Berling, Dvalin and Grer) at the price of four nights of her passion. When Brisingamen graces your throat, no man can resist your charms. A glittering mantle of rich golden notes: five ambers, soft myrtle and apple blossom, myrtle and carnation." Don't know why myrtle is in there twice. This isn't bad. I like all the amber and the apple is a nice subtle touch. Not so sure about the carnation though. This one also smells more like a hippie oil and less like a perfume to me. It would make excellent soap, if I ever got into soap-making. Carnations always smell soapy to me.
My scarf now smells like all these scents rolled together.
