Just got my girl scout cookies from my co-worker. Somebody should make those day-of-the-week pill boxes in larger sizes for cookies so that one is sure to eat no more than one's daily allotment. Sigh. My caraway quinoa crackers somehow just don't seem as appealing as usual...
Had the best idea ever last night--I knew I wanted to do a supported savasana when I was done with my yoga, and I had the brilliant idea to leave my bolster on the radiator while I did the rest of my practice. Most melty relaxing savasana ever!
Loved last night's Battlestar Galactica. Action! Suspense! Intrigue! Religious mysteries! People and Cylons behaving in unexpected yet believable ways! I would like to smack Apollo, though.
The Dresden Files shows promise after a solid start. I think it made a more successful tv show than novel; I found the novel's writing clunky and almost script-like, but really liked the basic concept (film noir detective who happens to be a wizard). Excellent casting of Harry. So we'll see.
Looking forward to the start of Amira Jamal's class tonight. For the next few weeks we'll be working on the song Leylet Hob, since most of the people in the class are from an AmCab background and are a little perplexed by the Egyptian classics (as opposed to George Abdo, Harry Saroyan, etc). I am not perplexed by this song but I am looking forward to dancing to it in a nice big room! It's hard to do a grand sweeping entrance in my living room, I end up getting dizzy from too much circling in a small space.
